PIKE COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: National Human Trafficking Awareness Day to be Held January 11

Pike County Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.

WHEN: Saturday, January 11, 2020

DESCRIPTION: As many of you know, over the last couple of months Victims’ Intervention Program has become the sole provider of services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault/abuse, and other crimes. We know that Safe Haven has had a long-standing relationship with this community, and we look forward to getting to know everyone and becoming an integral member of your community.

In light of getting the community involved in what we have going on, I wanted to share with you and invite you to get involved with Wear Blue Day.

Saturday, January 11th is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day and we’d like to invite you to wear blue with us. If you and your employees wear blue on Friday, January 10th, we will stop in to meet you, take some pictures and use them in a social media campaign that we will be running in support of our programs that support victims of human trafficking.

If you are interested in joining in on the #WearBlue movement, send me an email at mmw@vipempowers.org and my team and I will schedule to come out to meet you, thank you, and get your photo.
