4.5 percent of Indiana University of Pennsylvania-Main Campus students played sports on university teams in 2017-2018


In 2017-2018, 4.5 percent of Indiana University of Pennsylvania-Main Campus students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Indiana University of Pennsylvania-Main Campus has 9,373 undergraduate students, of which 58 percent are women and 42 percent are men, and a total student body of 11,483 students. Of these students, 256 men and 263 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 8.7 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at Indiana University of Pennsylvania-Main Campus with the most participants are all track combined (181), football (89) and soccer (40).
