54 percent of applicants to Pennsylvania State University-World Campus were admitted for fall 2018


At Pennsylvania State University-World Campus, 76 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 52 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in University Park enrolled 14,458 students in fall 2018, including 8,346 in undergraduate and 6,112 in graduate programs, data shows. 16 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

39 percent of undergraduates are residents of Pennsylvania, and 50 percent are residents of other states. 8 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (68 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (11 percent).

The school admitted 54 percent of the 962 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 42 percent enrolled.
