Graduates earn 14,127 degrees, certificates from Pennsylvania State University-Main Campus


About 18.6 percent of the 14,127 degrees and certificates handed out by Pennsylvania State University-Main Campus in 2017-18 were to students in engineering programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Park conferred 2097 bachelor's degrees and 323 master's degrees in engineering programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in information science/studies. Data shows the school gave out 652 bachelor's degrees in information science/studies, followed by 513 bachelor's degrees in general economics and 502 bachelor's degrees in general finance.

The university enrolled 47,119 students for 2017-18, including 40,835 in undergraduate programs and 6,284 in graduate programs.
