Graduates earn 1,054 degrees, certificates from Pennsylvania State University-Penn State Harrisburg


About 26.2 percent of the 1,054 degrees and certificates handed out by Pennsylvania State University-Penn State Harrisburg in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Middletown conferred 209 bachelor's degrees and 60 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Data shows the school gave out 108 bachelor's degrees in mechanical engineering, followed by 57 bachelor's degrees in general civil engineering and 53 bachelor's degrees in accounting.

The university enrolled 5,077 students for 2017-18, including 4,286 in undergraduate programs and 791 in graduate programs.
