Graduates earn 817 degrees, certificates from DeSales University


About 34.6 percent of the 817 degrees and certificates handed out by DeSales University in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Valley conferred 146 bachelor's degrees and 101 master's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a master's degree in general business administration and management. Data shows the school gave out 128 master's degrees in general business administration and management, followed by 107 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse and 74 master's degrees in physician assistant.

The university enrolled 3,315 students for 2017-18, including 2,345 in undergraduate programs and 970 in graduate programs.
