61 percent of applicants to University of the Sciences were admitted for fall 2017


At University of the Sciences, 97 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 61 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Philadelphia enrolled 2,359 students in fall 2017, including 1,277 in undergraduate and 1,082 in graduate programs, data shows. 2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

46 percent of undergraduates are residents of Pennsylvania, and 53 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (43 percent) and Asian (36 percent).

The school admitted 61 percent of the 3,601 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 16 percent enrolled.
