66 percent of applicants to Eastern University were admitted for fall 2017


At Eastern University, 73 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 69 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Saint Davids enrolled 3,291 students in fall 2017, including 1,887 in undergraduate and 1,404 in graduate programs, data shows. 9.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

62 percent of undergraduates are residents of Pennsylvania, and 36 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (49 percent) and Black or African American (19 percent).

The school admitted 66 percent of the 1,759 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 33 percent enrolled.
