Graduates earn 58 degrees, certificates from Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary-Overbrook


About 70.7 percent of the 58 degrees and certificates handed out by the Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary-Overbrook in 2016-17 were to students in Theology and Religious Vocations programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Wynnewood conferred 31 master's degrees and 10 certificates in Theology and Religious Vocations programs.

But the single most popular program was for a master's degree in Divinity/Ministry. Data shows the school gave out 16 master's degrees in Divinity/Ministry, followed by 15 master's degrees in Theology/Theological Studies and 10 certificates in Pre-Theology/Pre-Ministerial Studies.

The seminary enrolled 225 students for 2016-17, including 80 in undergraduate programs and 145 in graduate programs.
