About 25.6 percent of the 578 degrees and certificates handed out by the Gettysburg College in 2016-17 were to students in Social Sciences programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Gettysburg conferred 148 bachelor's degrees in Social Sciences programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General. Data shows the school gave out 66 bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Management, General, followed by 62 bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Government, General and 45 bachelor's degrees in Psychology, General.

The college enrolled 2,394 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
