About 25.4 percent of the 575 degrees and certificates handed out by the Franklin and Marshall College in 2016-17 were to students in Social Sciences programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Lancaster conferred 146 bachelor's degrees in Social Sciences programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Multi-/Interdisciplinary Studies, Other. Data shows the school gave out 66 bachelor's degrees in Multi-/Interdisciplinary Studies, Other, followed by 59 bachelor's degrees in Economics, General and 59 bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Management, General.

The college enrolled 2,255 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
