Graduates earn 133 degrees, certificates from Fortis Institute-Scranton


About 36.1 percent of the 133 degrees and certificates handed out by the Fortis Institute-Scranton in 2016-17 were to students in Medical/Clinical Assistant, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private for-profit institution in Scranton conferred 31 certificates and 17 associate's degrees in Medical/Clinical Assistant.

Other popular programs include Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse Training, Dental Hygiene/Hygienist and Dental Assisting/Assistant.

The institute enrolled 330 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
