Hoosier Crane Service has signed on for Configure One’s software services to ensure continued growth after 15 years in business, the Indiana-based industrial company announced recently.

Eric Graybill, Hoosier Crane Service’s chief financial officer, said the company recently experienced 40 percent year-over-year growth.

“We’ve been growing fast enough that we need to onboard new salespeople and help our existing salespeople be more efficient in their quoting process,” Hoosier Crane’s Information Technology Director Joe St. Clair said. 

Hoosier Crane Service is a family-owned business providing official OSHA inspections, lease and rental of heavy industrial equipment for the Midwest region. Its offerings include overhead, bridge, jib and gantry cranes; parts and accessories; and customer service.

Before signing on with Configure One, Hoosier used a system that required extra software, data spreadsheets and engineering calculators.

Now with Configure One’s tools, the firm’s quoting procedure is simplified with standardized specification lists.

“With the large amount of manufacturing we’ve been doing, we’re looking to standardize our bills of materials, which is right now a manual process,” St. Clair said. “The intention is to have a lot of that process automated.”

Hoosier Crane Service operates two branches in Indiana. Its clients comprise steel, automobile, recreational vehicle, construction and industrial equipment manufacturers.

Its headquarters are at 3500 Charlotte Ave. in Elkhart. It also runs a branch in Chicago.
