Momentum Telecom merges with Philly’s Alteva Inc.
Momentum Telecom, a voice BBX broadband management and unified communications solutions provider, recently announced that it has merged with Philadelphia-based Alteva Inc., creating a combined business with over 400 employees.
"We are excited to invest in and grow upon Alteva's success and significantly expand the presence of Momentum Telecom in the Northeast," Bill Fox, Momentum Telecom president and CEO, said. "With the merger, customers will continue to experience the high quality products, service and support that they count on from Alteva and Momentum today."
The transaction will increase the scope of Momentum’s services to comprise Microsoft Lync, integration with CRM applications such as SalesForce.com and Microsoft Dynamics, interactive voice response, SMS messaging and customized MPLS integration.
Momentum's service scope will increase to more than 350,000 users internationally. Additionally, the merger is expected to deepen its experience in the market sectors of health care, legal and financial services and retail.
Alteva’s headquarters in Philadelphia will continue operating as Momentum Telecom’s Northeastern regional office, with Momentum’s U.S. headquarters located in Birmingham, Alabama.
Alteva has grown in Pennsylvania for over a century. With humble beginnings as a local telephone switchboard operator, Alteva now offers premium cloud-based communications including VoIP, Unified Communications and Microsoft Communication Services.
