The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce recently issued a statement concerning the appointments made by Mayor-elect Jim Kenney.
The appointments included: Commerce Director Harold Epps, City Representative Sheila Hess, CFO Rob Dubow and Chief Administrative Officer Rebecca Rhynhart.
“The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce is pleased to see Harold Epps, Sheila Hess, Rob Dubow and Rebecca Rhynhart receive appointments in the Kenney Administration,” Chamber President and CEO Rob Wonderling said. “Harold Epps has had a notable impact on our organization, serving as an executive committee member of the board of directors for more than six years as well as a member of our Policy, Research and Legislative Committee, which guides the chamber’s public policy positions.”
The chamber executive illustrated Epps’ degree of previous involvement, citing his advisory position on the Chamber’s Roadmap for Growth initiative and participation at community meetings on the board’s behalf.
“Speaking for the chamber’s leadership, I congratulate Harold on this well-deserved appointment,” Wonderling said. “We look forward to working with him in his new role as commerce director and Mayor-elect Kenney, especially through the work of PIDC, a 60-year partnership between the city and the chamber -- focused on business growth and development.”
Wonderling also praised Hess’ “dynamic” reputation and commended both Dubow and Rhynhart as hard-working and well-respected.
“The chamber’s leadership and staff will work with all of these public officials in an effort to create more growth and prosperity in Philadelphia,” he said.
