Cloudnexa receives patent for scalable, secure cloud services

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office recently issued a patent to Cloudnexa for for its proprietary system for managing third-party cloud computing environments with a single common web interface.

The company, based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, received patent No. Press Release 13/110,595.

Utilizing the company’s system, consumers can build a cloud computing base featuring a secure virtual network with built-in workflow, storage and governance. User access and encryption can be channeled via a separate store, but Cloudnexa’s newly patented system allows a single common web interface that accomplishes security and compliance.

"This technology can provide a real value add for clients looking for a consolidated governing body over the management of their cloud provider, via customizable workflows," Josh Resnick, vice president of engineering for Cloudnexa, said. "Additionally, the usage of the encryption key management functionality is ideal to help meet compliance requirements around Personally Identifiable Information."

Founded in 2012, Cloudnexa is an Amazon Web Services Premier Consulting Partner.  It offers cloud management services using its vNOC cloud management platform.
