Gov.-elect Tom Wolf announced his secretary of the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) and secretary of the Department of Revenue on Monday.

Director of Allegheny County Economic Development Dennis Davin will take over as the secretary for DCED.

Eileen McNulty will be secretary of the Department of Revenue. McNulty has served in this position in the past. She also has served as a quality assurance director in the Office of the Comptroller Operations within the Office of the Budget.

"At a time when our commonwealth faces serious financial and economic challenges, Dennis and Eileen have the much-needed experience and ability to help me find innovative solutions to move Pennsylvania forward," Wolf said. "Pennsylvania is 50th in job growth and we are facing a deficit of $2 billion or more. Dennis brings nearly 30 years of economic development experience and Eileen has worked in public finance for 25 years. Each will bring a unique background and a fresh perspective to my administration."

While he served Allegheny County, Davin led development projects in Pittsburgh and throughout the county under the Allegheny Places plan, which was the county's first comprehensive effort in developing land for use, transportation, housing and infrastructure among other areas.

McNulty was secretary of the Revenue Department under former Gov. Robert Casey. She was its deputy secretary while Gov. Ed Rendell was in office. McNulty has played a crucial role in improving revenue collections for the commonwealth, Wolf said.
