Candidate for Pennsylvania’s 6th Congressional District Ryan Costello announced on Friday that he obtained an economic endorsement that will help him focus his campaign on economic issues.
Costello was unanimously endorsed by members of the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GRCCI). The GRCCI is the largest business organization in the Berks County region.
“The key to strong, vibrant local communities is a solid, competitive business environment that is able to grow and create new job opportunities for local residents,” Costello said. “If elected to represent local residents in Congress, I will continue to champion policies that reduce costly, unnecessary regulations and taxes that stifle the ability of our local businesses to thrive and increase jobs.”
Costello’s other endorsements include the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the Southeastern Pennsylvania Chambers of Commerce (SEPAC) and the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry.
Costello’s campaign has centered on ending gridlock in Washington, D.C., and building a consensus on issues.
Costello serves on the Chester County Board of Commissioners and was elected to board chair. He is a real estate attorney who also donates time and legal expertise to non-profit groups in the community. He and his wife, Christine, live in West Chester with their baby boy Ryan Jr.
